  • Define success.

Success to me is a combination of two factors: achieving my professional and personal goals and the knowledge that my professional goals are not going to be achieved without the right teamwork and partnerships with other successful entities and individuals.

  • What would you consider to be the defining aspect of a successful business?

The defining aspect of a successful business is to have a strong team around you. We cannot do everything ourselves, having a strong team around you with complementary skills is critical in a competitive business environment. Steven Spielberg surrounded himself with the best animation and computer graphics team to make Jurassic Park. We should surround ourselves with the best people for our line of business.

  • What is YOUR biggest success in business?

My biggest success is being able create jobs as a sales and business development professional. Nothing happens til you sell something is a cliche, but very true. I work daily in helping organizations create new business opportunities where they thought none existed. The jobs and lives changed thru my sales and business development skills is very fulfilling.

  • What is the biggest challenge to doing business in a global market?

Definitely understanding the culture and learning the language. We as USA citizens are often spoiled in only learning English and/or Spanish only. Getting Americans to understand different cultures and the way different countries deal with business is very challenging. Respect and courtesy is always a safe way to start a business relationships on a global basis. Once repo ire is established, understanding the culture is essential in the success of a global business.

  • How have you used your certification to provide value?

I have used the certification to establish credibility and gain access to critical contacts. Although, the certification gets you access, it is up to me to follow thru and develop the relationships required to generate business opportunities.

  • What is the best business advice you have revived?

Prioritize your activities by the amount of Value to your organization. We sometimes get so busy on activities that are very trivial and do not add any value. Prioritizing the activities by value makes me more effective and efficient on my goals.n!
